Electrostatic Process

To achieve the application of powder paint, Peinture Rive-Sud uses an electrostatic process. This process involves attracting the powder to the conductive metal parts using an electrostatic rifle. The powder paint is subsequently baked at a very high temperature. This technique does not require the use of solvent, which is very advantageous from an environmental point of view.

The cost of application is very similar to the application of liquid paint since the drying time is considerably reduced.

The advantages of using powder coating are numerous:

  • Reduced application time
  • Reduced drying time
  • Reduced paint losses
  • Completely uniform finish
  • Wide choice of colors and textures
  • Respect of the environment by the absence of solvent
  • Durability and increased resistance by baking that provides superior coating properties
  • Improvement of the safety at work by the absence of inhalation of chemical substances
