Powder Coating

Peinture Rive-Sud uses a polyester based electrostatic powder paint. Powder paint is environmentally friendly and makes the parts very resistant to weather elements and ultraviolet rays. Its use significantly increases the life expectancy of a room while providing a uniform finish, no matter how complex its dimensions are.

The cost of application is very similar to the application of liquid paint since drying time is considerably reduced.

To achieve the application of powder paint, Rive-Sud Painting uses an electrostatic process. This method attracts the powder to the conductive metal parts using an electrostatic gun.

The powder paint is subsequently baked at a temperature averaging 400° F. This paint application mode doesn’t require the use of a solvent.

There are many advantages of using powder paint:

  • Reduced application time,
  • Reduced drying time,
  • Reduced paint losses,
  • Completely uniform finish,
  • Low application cost,
  • Wide variety of colors and finishes,
  • Respect of the environment without solvent necessity,
  • Increased durability and resistance provided by the baking process that provides superior coating properties,
  • Improvement of workplace safety by the elimination of inhaled chemical substances
